We also offer copy-editing and proofreading services, as well as our lite edit, which is basically just a spell check, and our full edit, which is an in-depth look at your grammar and consistency.

We can trim those superfluous adjectives and adverbs to make your prose clearer; rearrange sections to highlight your salient points; help you to carefully choose your jargon and quotations; and make sure your grammar, spelling and punctuation are correct.

Structural Editing

Structural editing involves large-scale edits, like reorganising paragraphs and sections to improve flow and logical progression. Our structural edit service is your go-to when you want us to make sure that the structure of your piece is sound. This service will help you if you are stuck on how to structure a piece, or if you have already written it but are unsure about its overall structure.

Copy Editing

Copy editing is where we make sure your writing is clear, accurate, consistent, and logical. We’ll fix typos, check for inconsistencies in spelling and formatting, check for accuracy of facts, and ensure that you’re using the most appropriate words for what you mean to say. We also check that your writing style is consistent throughout the piece.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the final polish before your piece goes live! We will spellcheck, check for typos and grammar errors, ensuring there are no inconsistencies in the final formatting. Our proofreading service is best suited to those pieces that have already been edited at least once by someone else (for example, by yourself). Proofreading is the very last step in the process before publication.

Lite Edit

For a lite edit, we simply perform spellcheck and brief grammar checks with no additional feedback. You may use this option if you are on a tight budget, or need a quick review before hitting ‘publish.’
